SUSAN HILL

Susan Hill (Scarborough, Yorkshire, UK, 1942) is een Britse schrijfster. Zij schreef romans (voor volwassenen, voor young adults en voor kinderen), korte verhalen, toneelstukken en non-fictie. Ze werd in 2012 benoemd tot Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) vanwege haar prestaties voor de literatuur.
In veel van haar boeken speelt de suspense een grote rol, ongeacht of Ms Hill over kinderen, over volwassenen, over de oorlog of over geschiedenis schrijft; ze weet ook van alledaagse onderwerpen iets bijzonders te maken.
