BARBARA WERSBA

De Amerikaanse kinder– en jeugdboekenschrijfster Barbara Wersba werd in 1932 in Chicago geboren. Zij groeide op in Californië en in New York. Ze studeerde aan een toneelschool en werkte een aantal jaren als actrice.
Ms Wersba begon met het schrijven van jeugdboeken toen ze een jaar of twintig was. Zij schreef in totaal meer dan 30 kinder- en jeugdboeken.
