LIBBY HATHORN

Libby Hathorn is een Australische schrijfster van kinderboeken en young adult novels. Ze werd in 1943 in Newcastle, New South Wales (Australië) geboren. Als kind woonde ze in Sydney. Met haar jeugdboeken won ze veel literaire prijzen.
Ms Hathorn werkte na haar studie jarenlang als docent en als bibliothecaris. Ze studeerde af met een Master in Letteren.
Hoewel ze heel veel succes heeft als schrijfster van boeken voor kinderen en voor young adults, ligt haar passie bij de poëzie. Daarom probeert zo ook –volgens eigen zeggen – haar boeken zo poëtisch mogelijk te schrijven.
