D.M. THOMAS

De Engelse schrijver Donald Michael Thomas (die schrijft onder de initialen D.M. Thomas) werd in 1935 in Redruth, Cornwall geboren. Hij schrijft romans, gedichten, toneelstukken en hij is vertaler.
D.M. Thomas studeerde in Oxford. Later woonde hij in Australië en in de USA voordat hij weer naar de UK zou terugkeren. Hij vertaalde gedichten uit het Russisch, een taal die hij een tijdlang bestudeerd had.
D.M. Thomas werd heel bekend met zijn controversiële roman The White Hotel (1981).
