K.M. PEYTON

De Engelse schrijfster Kathleen Wendy Herald Peyton (K.M. Peyton) is een auteur van boeken voor kinderen en voor young adults.
Ms Peyton werd in 1929 in Birmingham geboren als Kathleen Herald. Als kind schreef ze al enorm veel – en dat werd alleen maar meer in de loop der jaren. Ze trouwde al jong met Mr Mike Peyton, ze werd moeder, ze studeerde voor onderwijzeres en ze werd … schrijfster. Ms Peyton schreef veel over zeilen en over paarden: twee onderwerpen waar ze veel van af wist.
K.M. Peyton won heel veel prijzen, veel van haar boeken werden vertaald in meerdere talen. Een aantal van haar boeken werd verfilmd, zowel voor de bioscoop als voor de TV.
