PENELOPE LIVELY

De Engelse schrijfster Penelope Lively werd in 1933 in Caïro (Egypte) geboren. Zij won veel prijzen, zowel voor kinderboeken en young adult boeken als voor boeken voor volwassenen.
Het eerste boek van Ms Lively (of eigenlijk: Dame Penelope Lively; ze werd vanwege haar literaire prestaties in de adelstand verheven) uit 1970 was een boek voor young adults (Astercote). Na veel successen voor jongeren publiceerde ze vanaf 1970 ook boeken voor volwassenen.
Dame Lively won met haar boeken heel veel prijzen.
