TODD STRASSER 

Todd Strasser (a.k.a. Morton Rhue en T.S. Rhue) (New York City, 1950) is een Amerikaanse schrijver van young adult novels. Hij schreef zo’n 150 boeken, sommige onder pseudoniemen (zoals Morton Rhue en T.S. Rue).
Na zijn opleiding werkte Strasser een aantal jaren als journalist en als directeur van een ‘fortune cookie’-fabriek. In de jaren tachtig van de vorige eeuw werd hij beroepsschrijver en sindsdien heeft hij heel veel boeken voor jongeren geschreven. Strasser staat erom bekend dat hij controversiële onderwerpen – zoals problemen rond dakloosheid, seksualiteit, pesten en schietpartijen op scholen behandelt.
Zijn bekendste boek is één van zijn eerste boeken: The Wave, een boekbewerking van een TV-film.
