JAN MARK

De Britse schrijfster Jan Mark (1943-2006) schreef meer dan vijftig boeken voor kinderen en voor young adults. Jan Mark (eigenlijk Janet Marjorie Brisland) werd in Hertfordshire geboren. Ze groeide op in Ashford in Kent. Ze werkte eerst als onderwijzeres en werd daarna fulltime schrijfster. Ze trouwde, kreeg twee kinderen en scheidde later van haar man.
Ms Mark werkte veel in Vlaanderen waar ze young adult fiction in de klas propageerde.
